Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network (CVAN)
The Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network helps abused women and children, via a 24-hours crisis telephone line, support groups, housing shelter, and peer counseling. It was organized approximately 25 years ago, and has helped assist thousands of victims to date. Each year, our Outreach committee conducts an Easter and Christmas campaign to provide toys and presents to the moms and children of these affected families. In addition, on Father’s Day, the men from our church make a pledge and contribute to the annual “Men for Change” campaign to support a stand against domestic violence.
