Welcome to All Saints' Episcopal Preschool, a ministry of All Saints' Episcopal Church.
At All Saints’ Episcopal Preschool we seek to rejoice in, celebrate and respect each child as a child of God. We seek to partner with parents to provide a learning environment based on the individual needs, interests and family culture of the children and families served.
Our program strives to meet the needs of the whole child through developmentally aprropriate practice. Our goal is to stimulate the children's natural curiosity, help them learn to interact with others, assist them in effectively expressing themselves, and encourage them to try new experiences. This will provide them with tools to use in everyday life as well as for their future "formal" education. The heart of our program consists of truly listening to both children and adults. By doing so, we encourage their thinking, creativity, and growth. The flow of teaching and learning is mutual and dynamic.
Our teaching presents children with the gift of discovering the world around them by encouraging them to explore life through their own interests and passions. Children do not learn because they are taught. Children learn as a result of actions, relationships, inquiries, opportunities, and repitition. Our teachers use their knowledge to observe the children to determine the develomental tasks they are working on. They then enhance the learning by developing lesson plans based on those observations. This is how children learn. They learn by doing and being self-directed. They succeed in the fututre by learning to love school.
Reading readiness, writing, and math skills will be incorporated into all activites as useful tools needed to carry out plans. We encourage family and community involvement through field trips and by bringing in special events to our classrooms. We are setting the foundation for their becoming active participants in their communities. Their delight and wonder will be our first priority.
We offer preschool classes to children between the ages of two and five (those children who will go to Kindergarten in the Fall). Children must turn the appropriate age by August 31 to be accepted into an age level.
We offer a flexible schedule to give parents more choices when enrolling your child. We open our doors at 8:30 and dismiss at 12:20.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis and space is limited.
