Men’s Breakfast: Grits, Fellowship and Nooma

Saturday, July 8th at 8 AM

The Saturday men’s group invites all the men of the parish to breakfast.  Please come and share eggs, sausage, grits, and fellowship with us.

You know what grits and fellowship are, but what the heck is Nooma.  (No, it is not at all like liver mush).  Nooma is a play on the Greek word for spirit, wind, or breath.  Nooma films are a series of short, concise stories from everyday life with a uniquely Christian perspective.  They are from the creative mind of pastor and author Rob Bell.  He is an extraordinary communicator and gifted storyteller.  The Nooma films are relatable, thought-provoking, and entertaining.

After breakfast, we will view and discuss “Rain” from the Nooma series.  Each Saturday meeting this summer will feature a different film from the this series.  Each Saturday’s topic will be unique and “stand alone,” so that you can attend as you are able.  Summer bonus: there is no reading or book to buy.

Regardless of Nooma or no Nooma, please join us for breakfast on July 8th.  Sign up in the Welcome Center or email Don.
